Found: Eric Robertson

Eric made contact with my mom on Thursday night!

A big thank you to all the family, friends, and perfect strangers that helped him and us for the last two months.

Missing: Eric Robertson

My brother, Eric Christie Robertson, has been missing for five weeks now.

I have set up a website where you can find out more about his case here:

Life Updates

Lots has been going on in my life recently, so I thought I would give a little update.

I had been working for National Geographic's website for the past year, but my contract has run out and I am currently looking for a job. If anyone has any leads on web producer or reporter jobs in the Washington, DC area, please use the Contact form to shoot me an email. I've had many interviews, but no offers right now.

New Updates

I've updated the About Me, Resume, and Clips sites, so check 'em out!

I've also taken a lot of pictures since last year's Cherry Blossom Festival, so those will go up sometime soon.

New Posting Policy for Comments and Forum

I regret the inconvenience, but anyone that wants to comment or post in the forum must now create an account on the site. The spambots found me, and they found me hard. I have learned my lesson, and locked down the site against them. I apologize for the error of not locking it down in the first place, and am very embarrassed about the whole thing. Again, if I deleted your legitimate forum post, I am sorry.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Fall Cleaning

I did some cleanup and updating of the site, and deleted all those foul spam comments. Needless to say, I also added a CAPTCHA system to keep out new spambots.

If you had a legitimate comment that was deleted, I apologize. Feel free to replace it if you remember.

Check out my updated resumé, clips, and MarkSyp.com, my friend and colleague's multimedia portfolio site I set up for him a couple of weeks ago.

Resume and Clips Updated

I've updated my resume and clips to include my recent work at National Geographic, as well as RSS feeds of the blogs I will be working on for the next few months (at least). I'll try to keep a better tab on keeping the site up to date!

I will be adding a link to another Drupal site I have developed as well, as soon as it goes live. It's an Ubercart-based e-commerce site I put together for a friend, and as soon as it goes live I'll post it here.

Video on Newseum.org

I filmed and edited a piece on the Newseum's celebrations of the 40th anniversary of the moon landing. It got front page promotion, and turned out well, if not a little dark in some spots. You can find it here: Newseum is Moonstruck on Apollo 11’s 40th Anniversary

Weird happenings

While this isn't usually a diary blog, I feel the need to share all the weird things that happened to me or near me today.
