Weird happenings

While this isn't usually a diary blog, I feel the need to share all the weird things that happened to me or near me today.

I overslept.
Because I overslept, Jess drove me to school this morning. Traffic was unusually heavy and there were more dangerous drivers than usual.
My computer randomly resets its date and time.
Two of my classmates (both named Nick) don't show up for class because they are injured in some way.
Jess encounters an assault in the Metro, where someone is slammed into the side of the train.
Another classmate is assaulted in Chinatown after class. He is punched in the head by a gang of teenagers, and doesn't call the cops.
On my way home I realize my phone's been off all day.
There's an incident at my Metro stop. A bunch of plainclothes cops wearing strap-on holsters and bulletproof vests in unmarked cars were leaving the station as I was. One dude had a gun, a taser, and a baton. There was also a "suspicious package" at Union Station about the same time.
Summerville makes the national news.
I get a random stomach ache.
Jess tells me they got a call at the animal hospital about an appointment for a male calico cat, which is rare (calicos are almost always female).
